Description
Rom-coms are strange things. They’re often our go-to watch for comfort viewing and we like how they make us feel all gooey inside. They're also a little bit cursed in their regressive attitudes towards gender, sexuality and the systems of power that govern our lives. Written by Fiasco Jones and inspired by strange Artificial Intelligence art, Love Is... is: A queer experimental sci-fi show; an exploration of technology, capitalism and art; a love letter to, and takedown of, the rom-com.Please note that while all media gallery content is provided by verified members of the event, the Edinburgh Festival Fringe Society does not review or approve this content before it is posted. - Accessible entry: If not taking the accessible entrance there are steps on two levels. First there are a couple of steps from the public pavement into the building's enclosure. Second, after a short distance, there are a few more steps that lead into the building, directly into the box office area. This is one of the best pieces of theatre I've seen in a long time. It has a subtlety and complexity in the dialogue, a humour in the visuals, and above all a pair of warm, assured performances from the two actors. Confusing and emotionally affecting, this deserves a much bigger audience.
