A moving, sometimes painful, musing on the power of music as a force for healing. How family, both real and imagined, can help us grow and grow up; and how our musical family will never let us down. Special mention to Prince, Nick Cave and Morrissey: music for the outsiders, the survivors and the brave. My kinda show.

So glad to find this gem. Such a heartfelt and moving show - one of my favourites at the Fringe this year. From the moment you walk in, Lorrel is so welcoming and warm - and feels like a friend. A really authentic and beautiful performance.

Lost…Found is a tender and poignant play written and acted by K. Lorrel Manning, a veteran of the NY stage. His captivating and genuine truth-telling, in this one-man show, captures the heart and soul of a six-year old boy and the man he has become, not only in spite of his journey but in honor of it. Told with straight-talking memory that not only paints the picture with sensitivity and humor, he plays records from his past that take us all on his tender journey with the kindness and affection of a long lost friend never to be forgotten and must be forgiven. Your heart will be transported, reminded and renewed. Directed with nuance and authenticity, by Lee Brock and Christine Cirker of New York City’s The Barrow Group theatre company, (17 Minutes EdFringe 2023).

Phenomenal! This was one of the best shows i saw all festival. Lorrel Manning is funny, raw, vulnerable and real. A deeply moving show about how his love of music & the love of flawed family & friends help him survive & process childhood trauma. A truly profound & inspiring piece.

A beautiful, moving story told with such softness, sensitivity and talent that it's still on my mind a week later. Even with the most tragic memories there is a welcoming calmness which makes it all hit so much harder.

From the moment I sat down I knew this show would be life changing. Lorrel does an incredible job of processing trauma in a way that made ME feel like I was processing my own trauma along with him. The way he effortlessly gets the audience to flow from laughter to understanding sighs to anger on his behalf to sobbing uncontrollably (that was me) is as fluid as is dance moves. This is a powerful and important show. Halfway through I knew I would be seeing it again and bringing along with me anyone who wants to FEEL for an hour. I’m grateful to have stumbled upon this magic and recommend to everyone and anyone who loves personal and relatable storytelling. Bravo!

A profoundly powerful and personal story of healing and self-acceptance that everyone should see. The author/performer creates a welcoming and intimate space into which he masterfully weaves both the terrible and whimsical.

A beautiful piece; an intimate, well-sculpted sharing of a relatable artist’s struggle to overcome trauma and find forgiveness. Easeful and detailed in the family we get to know and the journey that is sometimes shocking and sometimes just great fun: and sprinkled with music that uplifts both the performer and the audience. A clear example of one persons specific story bringing a more universal healing because it is shared.
