Description

Chris has been having horrid thoughts – thoughts that led to his break-up with Anya, thoughts that have since kept him from reaching out to Len. One night, Chris sulks in his flat. Desperate for someone to talk to, he returns a phone call from his best friend for the first time in four weeks. Len, a part-time Elvis impersonator, isn’t impressed. ‘Pay me,’ he says. ‘Okay,’ says Chris. Now, Len is on his way and Chris is panicking. What if he can’t find Len from underneath the pompadour and jumpsuit? What if he loses his friend forever?

A really lovely show with some great one-liners and a whole lot of heart!

Interesting ideas in the script and lots of energy from the 3 actors, but would have been improved if the characters were not played as cartoons and more thought had gone into the staging. As it is it is only an extended student sketch.

Outstanding cast all 3 performers equally strong & engaging. Powerful poignant sharp script with lots of wit and laughter. The dancing did it for me. Great show big congrats to you all amazing team work.

Solid piece of student new-writing. Talented cast. Len has the eyes, Chris the forehead and pained, wilting features, Anya the smoulder. Stripped back, well-oiled production, at times profound. A good delve into young male psyche. Would recommend girls at uni who have trouble understanding their boy friends give it a watch.

I love the simple conversation between these characters that hides something sincere beneath.
Also the simpler is the better.
We are unavoidable feeling lonely when refusing to admit.
Elvis is leaving the building but leave the caring and love behind.
Truly finding a friend or folk that you can have conversation with and spend the whole night with them.
Meeting a friend is a way to mirroring ourselves that pointing out our loneliest selves and flaws.

A highly original and witty look at male vulnerability, delivered sensitively thanks to a clever script and powerful cast. It tackles a difficult topic lightheartedly, courtesy of a loud but endearing, Elvis impersonator, without losing its underlying message of rekindled, genuine human love.

Guys great show. Show that was familiar and cringing at times. Genuinely reminded me of the importance of mates clever production in a limited venue. Well written, really well performed and production was smart. Well done
