Description

Baddest. Cowboy. Texas. These are just a few words to describe the Baddest Cowboy in Texas. He roots 'n' toots 'n' roots, from the mightiest mountains to the sauciest saloons. But what happens when a Badder Cowboy-er Texas-er (AKA his nemesis) rides into town and steals his title? Bangtail is an epic tale of a man in search of his manhood. So saddle up for an hour of unbridled cowboy clown chaos as our hero journeys from the Wild West to the American office.

Really wanted to love this show, and it did have some really joyful moments. However, it lacked pace and felt repetitive without purpose at times. Not sure if it had a director, but it could do with one. A fun show with a lot of promise.

One of the best shows I’ve seen this year. What a great artist, the complicity with the audience, the love her work emanated... Absolutely loved it. A must see.

Made an audience member feel as though their participation attempt was rubbish, which I didn't think was very pleasant. There were certainly plants in the audience too...

In the best possible way, Lil is an absolute lunatic. This show was hilarious and crazy and so very clever. Having watched Weer the night before, you can see where Lil's career is heading because she's already every bit as good as Palamides. Audience interaction is a huge part of this show but you feel safe within this as she checks for consent and makes sure those involved are happy to be playing along. Everyone is one team to make a hilarious show for all involved, whether you're truly "involved" or not. I didn't 100% understand the ending but I enjoyed it all the same! Knowing nothing going in, I'm so impressed with this show and look forward to following Lil Wenker's career going forward!

A supremely talented performer playing at the top of her game. The best audience interaction I've seen this Fringe.

Bestest. Comedian. Edinburgh.
This is a brilliant debut solo hour from Lil. Laugh out loud funny throughout with a surprisingly sweet and wholesome finale. One of our favourites from our visit. Don't miss it!

Superb audience work and really witty storytelling. This is the year I learned to love clowning, and this is one of the shows that persuaded me! Be ready to participate but fear not, there's nothing cruel or excruciating!

Wow! Great mix of physical comedy, audience interaction and pee-yourself-laughing humor. My favorite show so far! Highly recommend!

This was my first time seeing a clown show, and I had no idea what to expect. I went in with an open mind - but to be honest, I could've gone in with a closed one and I still would've enjoyed myself like crazy. Funny, clever, bold, silly, sharp - this is such a good time, and the hour went by like nothing. Highly reccomend.

Lil as Bangtail is the poster child for “commit to the bit”, and what an enjoyable bit. Playing to a full and enthusiastic audience, this cowboy got plenty of space to play and did so after establishing great trust and rapport. Lil utilizes repetition masterfully, from the details of teaching the audience their participatory roles, to the larger arc of the story. I felt cared for from start to finish.

This show is AMAZING! Lil is so clever and it's so wonderfully subversive. A really funny and inventive portrayal of a lonely cowboy.

Bangtail is a very fun show led by an exuberant performer who is here to entertain, dance, philosophise, and gallop across the stage on an imaginary horse – and that imaginary horse could be you.
