Description

In their daring debut at the Edinburgh Fringe, Glossy Pain take the audience to bed. How can we be vulnerable with each other, when the world around us demands us to be hard? Creating a space of intimacy, this is a provocative exploration of sexual desires and the lies that shape them. Teasing and tormenting both herself and the audience, Riah Knight questions the authenticity of performance, seeking answers from religious and mythical figures with humour and introspection. Featuring original music, this English-language solo promises to ignite discussion. Come lie with us!

Loved this show. You feel like you are in a dialogue with her which makes it all the more thought-full and relatable. The whole thing is interactive, however, there are parts that the audience really engages and that makes the show go from great to remarkable. It's a well thought out production, and a lot of fun. I can't wait until the next time I go to an art museum.. hot! Recommend!

A really interesting, vulnerable show about desire, religiosity, the act of socially performing, femininity and bedding! What's not to love. Really bold, thought provoking show that it's hard to imagine not being affected by in some way or other. I'll never see religious imagery quite the same way again!

This was a particularly good show, and Riah’s vocals are excellent.

An experimental comedy that breaks the walls of stereotypes through playfulness and laughter.
