Description
Lee always wanted to be an astronaut. When she grew up, she got her wish – but not in the way she expected: she became the first person ever to orbit a black hole. But this show isn't about her. It's about the girl who loved her who had to stay back on Earth. What does it mean to be the one standing on the sidelines, the one left behind? All of the stars and galaxies, all of time and space... would you give them up for the one you love? Please note that while all media gallery content is provided by verified members of the event, the Edinburgh Festival Fringe Society does not review or approve this content before it is posted. I really enjoyed this. It's a charming and intimate show that's also sad and atmospheric.
Really well written and acted. Deserves a bigger audience, so, despite the timeslot, I would really recommend seeing before it finishes.

I cannot recommend Lee and the Black Hole enough.
The performance is intimate and enthralling. From charmingly nervous youth to the anger, longing, and despair of heartbreak, all of the emotion feels real and grounded - even as the show deals with such an otherworldly topic. Gripping from start to finish.
The script captures both the beauty and terror of the universe in equal measure. And throws in a couple fun asides about quantum physics as a bonus.
Simple but effective lighting and sound bring it all together. They help move seamlessly from scene to scene, but also provide atmosphere for the most emotional parts of the performance. Particularly in the closing moments of the show.
This is only playing for a few days - go see it while it’s here. It’s a treat.
