Description

A knight pulls a sword from a stone and, as the prophecy foretold – becomes king. No, not that king. Another one. Totally different one. This one is in love with his horse. A clown tale of courage, duty, determination, brotherhood (shoutout to the round table!), grief, and most of all, horses. A wild romp through a medieval world you thought you knew. A ye olde show brought to you by Madeleine Rowe.

This is an incredible take on clowning. So much fun and very inventive. laughed a lot.

From other reviews, it sounds like we were all crying with laughter in the audience and well deserved teats they are. Absolutely one of my favourite shows I saw, I'm still thinking about poor Hermes. Very very funny, a must watch.

I cried with laughter more than one time, when Madeleine told their story about a knight, a horse and a sword in a magic stone. Well-timed clownery with audience interaction. Highly recommended!

True clowning at its best. Had me smiling ear to ear and laughing my ass off the whole time. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

How Madeleine can make such a great show with so very little, is truly impressive. This performance thrives on tried and true values of traditional physical comedy and clownery and it works so, so well. Had my friend and I in stitches with tears in our eyes. If you like laughing until your ribs hurt, go see this.

Well structured, written, and… executed! Had my mom and I laughing the whole time and laughing talking about it hours later

amazing performer, incredible show - the best thing we’ve seen at the fringe go watch it now! Had us in the palm of their hand from the get go and it just got better and better. So so funny and lovely

In a fringe seemingly brimming with horse-themed shows, Knight Knight stands out. Madeline offers a refreshingly simple show, taking the time to indulge in the games and interactions and creating an atmosphere of enjoyment and comfort in the room.

This show is brilliant. The performer is one of the funniest I have ever seen. I cried with laughter. A must see.

I’m gonna couch this review in letting you know I don’t know much about clowning, but I was dragged to see this show by a group of clowns and they had to drag me away! A simple conceit masterfully executed. Rowe knows exactly how far to take a gag (or a “cunning”? Ask the clowns). I felt whisked along this Arthurian spoof that despite its seasoned inspiration was wholly original. Not to mention the endearing, bloat-tongued character work that had me in stitches at every line.

Hilarious and engaging. Did not feel like a one-person show because everyone was involved. So much fun!

An absolutely brilliant show, I had no expectations coming in, but loved every minute of this unorthodox take on the King Arthur legend. Knight, Knight was the best, "neigh" absolute funniest show I saw at the Fringe this year. Full of heart and yet surreal at the same time, get your tickets before it sells out.

Hidden Gem of a show! Small and intimate but really funny and uses the crowd well. Unique delivery and so smooth. Had us laughing the entire time!

An epic journey of many laughs. Knight! Knight! was the show I didn't know I needed. The performer, Madeleine Rowe oozes talent and is one of the funniest performers I have seen at the Fringe. I have already seen it once and am planning on seeing again! I highly recommend!

Like others, in all my years of Fringe-ing I am not sure I have ever enjoyed a show so much! Still thinking about it and chuckling to myself nearly a week on. Madeleine Rowe is an incredible talent and joy to watch. Don't miss this one!

An absolute gem of a show! So glad I found it by virtue of being at the same venue as something else I was seeing.
It's the kind of show everyone tells you about afterwards but amazingly neglect to mention it during fringe.
Do yourself a favour and trot on down there!

This is one of the best shows I have seen in years. I've been to 8 fringes in the past 8 years and I can't quite think of anything that sticks out like this. Has had a standing ovation every single night??? GO SEE THIS SHOW

A journey of a Knights path to becoming king with some ghosts in his closet (of the equine variety). Fall off your seat funny, lighthearted ridiculousness. Definitely worth a ticket!

What follows over the next hour is one of my favourite clown shows ever. I’ve been telling everyone to go – I want to go again!
