This was a great first show to kick off our visit to Fringe. A thoroughly enjoyable, well-researched and convincing job by Rainee Blake of giving voice to a notably reticent talent. I've been fortunate enough to see Joni Mitchell live, but this was still a great opportunity to experience her at the peak of her superstardom. Thank you, Rainee.

As a devoted Joni fan since 1974, I couldn't have missed this performance. It did not disappoint... Incredible voice, excellent musicianship and the embodiment of Joni's soul. Loved every second.

An incredible performance by Rainee - she transported us to 1970s California and embodied Joni Mitchell - in her conversational voice, her singing and her musicianship. She basically WAS Joni Mitchell for an hour. A lovely, calm musical interlude between our other fringe shows.

This was such a beautiful performance, Rainee does an incredible job of capturing Joni’s voice and essence. She played and sang beautifully, and was so kind and sweet when we briefly spoke to her after the show. Really recommend!!

I went along because I love Joni Mitchell's music. But on the day I went I had hit the messy low point many fringe participants encounter and was feeling raw and emotional. I spent the first half of the show with tears streaming down my face. Rainee's performance was outstanding, both as a singer / musician and as an incredible actor.
I have a strong emotional bond with many of the songs she performed, but more importantly, I genuinely felt that I had left Edinburgh and was in California in the mid 70s actually watching Joni talk and sing.
She totally turned my fringe experience around and I left feeling moved, re-energised and filled with love. It was one of the most incredible fringe experiences I have ever had and I can't thank her enough.
Most of the audience were clearly there as Joni fans of many decades and they all seemed to love it too, but if you have any kind of personal connection to a Joni Mitchell song and need to escape this world for an hour, just go and immerse yourself in this beautiful show.
