For any fan of Perth's famous son John Robertson and his cult show "The Dark Room", The Human Hurricane provides an equally-entertaining opening act as John bursts onto the stage and works his way through mic stands, poetry about murder-horses and songs about men's bodies or "anime coots" on social media.
So come one, come all, come early... or come late, at which point John will restart and give a very quick recap of the night's show! And I guarantee you that one show will not be like the other.

The master of crowdwork, the king of chaos, the knave of naughtiness. Be hit in the face with this kind and high-octane show!

This was the most bonkers, bizarre and brilliant show I have ever seen! John was amazing, how one man has so much energy for so long have no idea. Audience participation was A1-+++, although our singing was enthusiastic rather than delightful on the ear! I’m still not quite sure what I saw, but I’ll definitely go again. AMAZING.

An incredible, mostly improvised show with lots of audience interaction. Somehow this guy can glance at someone's peculiar choice of shirt and turn it into a hilarious joke that has the entire room in stitches, and doesn't make people feel bullied (even when Robertson is implying they showed up wearing a bomb)
Go see it.

It's wonderful to see a new show from John Robertson, and this one features the same manic energy as THE DARK ROOM with slightly less audience participation except for the singalongs, and no props but an electric ukulele and a faulty microphone stand. The jokes come thick and fast, and if you miss an obscure literary reference, you won't have time to think about it. Go and see it, and don't be late. I mean it. You really don't want to arrive late.

An absolutely mad 50 mins of John doing what John does best, improv crowdwork. Filthy, funny and fully inclusive John makes everyone feel a part of it. Some v addictive earworm songs as well. Due to the nature of the show every night is different

Warm-up show before the Dark Room later in the evening. Great energy, slightly ominous, great audience interaction.

Pure chaos in the best way. So quick to respond to the audience and manages to do crowdwork where people really feel part of the joke rather than being picked on
