My favourite improv comedian of the fringe so far, John was awesome, had great energy with his guest and the audience, and had us laughing the whole way through!

I saw John Oakes’ solo show on the back of seeing him at the Comedy Brunch, where he was introduced as one of the best improv performers on earth; having now seen his show, I tend to agree. I’m not sure how it’s possible to be so funny for an hour without a plan?!

Absolutely one of the best improv comedians I've seen! Even with tricky suggestions, he put on an incredible show and he made everything funny! Plus..great marketing, rapping on the street

John is so talented, his improv from some tricky audience suggestions was outstanding, his special guest differs (I went twice for this very reason) but adds to the show & was fantastic to have a full on rap at the end.
Great audience involvement, but there's no pressure so don't be intimidated, if you're shy or haven't seen improv before, it's a great introduction!

Really great improv, he's very gentle/polite with the audience participation (although there is a lot so be prepared for that). Hidden gem, free entry but you'll want to pay a tenner on the way out.

I just happened to pass by and I thought, OK, I'll check out the show. The show is really funny. There is interaction with the audience and improvisation. I can only recommend everyone to come along.

Absolutely the best improv I've ever seen + great crowd work! He's so funny and on the night we went, he brought his wife on stage to improv with him a bit and they are hilarious together. Can't wait to see her show next!
