Description

Bea's secretly working three full-time jobs. All at the same time. And she's still financially f*cked. Between looking after luxury flats and dogsitting the world's ugliest pooch, she's neck-deep in employers and it's only a matter of time until someone finds out she's breaking all her contracts. Armed with nothing but her smarmiest boss' dirty secret, can Bea get herself out of the red and into the black (and into the fit intern's bed)? Or will the plates she's been spinning come crashing down around her and her dysfunctional family? A riotous comedy about snakes and surviving capitalism.

Such a dynamic performance. Fully engrossing and her ability to move from one character to the next was absolutely convincing. The highs and lows that I experienced were such a roller coaster of emotions and a great twist ending which caught me off balance. Shell shocked at the end in a very good way.

A one-woman multi-rolling show, a modern take on One Man, Two Guvnors. Thought provoking and hard hitting. Recommended.

One of the best shows I have seen at the Fringe this year.

Jobsworth is a frantic hour of a solo performance in which the actor plays multiple characters exquisitely. The script is very clever and, while not a comedy, provides a few laugh-out-loud moments to break the tension. Wonderful.

Solo show about a harried 30-something, trying hold down three jobs in post lockdown London, where working from home seems like an easy option until you get found out.
A multi-character, multi-accent performance about keeping up with a soul destroying office job, and the ghastly folk that inhabit it, when aging parents and the love life could do with a drop of the precious little time you no longer have.
Frantic and funny, moving and heartfelt, this is a first rate performance. Thankfully the relentless pace does ease at times to give us a breather and enjoy the remarkably vivid world our performer deftly creates.

This was in my top 5 picks of Fringe 2024. A one woman play with tons of characters (all played beautifully by the performer) and a complex story. This was thought provoking and entertaining. I highly recommend seeing Jobsworth.

Definitely a festival highlight thanks to a fascinating story and an incredible performance from this solo actor, whose total command of the full span of comedy and drama, flipping on a dime, made this very clever writing sing. In an age of victimhood and individualism, it was such a breath of fresh air to see the sheer resilience and selflessness of this layered character shine through. I wanted to know more about Bea, but it would have betrayed her selflessness to indulge us in this way. Her life is not her own, and we fall in love with her for it. I can't help but think that as a TV series this has the potential not only to entertain but to affect and inspire a generation.

Jobsworth totally captures the struggle of today’s world with its balance of humour but also tad seriousness. Libby delivers an energetic performance with Isley too creating a uniquely brilliant script with awesome characters. Make it your job to see this.

Such a great show! The actor did an incredible job of switching between so many characters, each with their own accent, mannerisms and energy. There were moments of comedy and levity amongst the chaos, and you gradually learn more about how the main character has ended up in this position. I’d really recommend planning it into your Fringe!

To enjoy the show people might need to be closely related to the experience of the character. I would not describe it as a comedy, it is intense and has a fast pace so need to be alert to understand who is talking to who.

A truly impressive performance by one actress playing ALL the characters in a physically and emotionally demanding show. It was funny, it was sad, it made us think, and worry about a generation who has to take on multiple full time jobs just to stay afloat.

I must make a full disclosure that Libby is related to me. But this is an unbiased review! She carries off a distinct personalisation of (is it 7?) characters with mostly several on stage simultaneously. The craft is amazing, the comedy side splitting, and with occasional injections of dark drama. This is edgy, funny and right on target for current times. Don't miss an opportunity to see it.

As heart-wrenching as it is hilarious, Rodcliffe delivers an outstanding performance.
