Description

In his debut hour, Jin Hao walks you through the seascape of his mind, filled with nightmares of being a spider, dreams of joining the yakuza and breezy memories of serving in the military with the boys. Confronting fear with mischief and imagination, he surprises with gritty softness, honest lies and pockets of joy. BBC New Comedy Awards and Chortle Student finalist.   • Accessible entry: Queue in cobbled courtyard. Access to space via locked lift, please notify venue ahead of your visit if you require use of the lift and ask at Info Shed upon arrival for access. Lift dimensions are 1200mm x 1200mm, max. weight 500kg.The Performance Space is on the Lower Ground Floor down 5 steps on a permanent stone staircase with handrails.

Our access tickets service is available to anyone who:

Really well crafted stuff delivered with style and substance. His very weird nightmares leading to some hilarious outcomes.

He creates a truly unique relationship with his audience, incorporating everything from physical comedy and visual gags to rap and calling out his tech. No stone is left unturned in his pursuit for the perfect hour and in the case of Jin Hao Li, he’s very nearly there.

Jin’s is one of the debuts I’ve been most excited about seeing here, based in part on a small bit he did on a mixed bill and, let me tell you, I’m thrilled to have had all expectations surpassed. I left the show wearing an absolutely massive grin (hao li).
