Description

Almost a nepo baby and a BBC child star of the noughties, Jess Carrivick's career peaked at aged 10, but Hollywood never rang. This 2021 BAFTA Rocliffe Shortlist writer is now seizing the spotlight with her first solo work-in-progress show, Attention Seeker. An absurd showreel of sketches, skits and comedy characters. 'Jess Carrivick... at least acts a bit like she knows what she's doing' (Vice).

5 Stars!!! 45 Minutes of non-stop laughs!! Jess knows how to grab and hold an audience. A MUST see at Ed Fringe ... I've watched twice now and can't promise I won't go again tomorrow!! The best thing I've seen at Fringe!!!

45 minutes fly by as Jess Carrivick takes the stage, captivating her audience with a blaze of comedy, games, and hilarious impressions.

This show is a true hidden gem of the Fringe. It's a delightful find that more than justifies the entry fee. Carrivick's talent is undeniable, and I have no doubt she'll be entertaining much larger audiences in the near future.

This whirlwind of a talent will take you on a journey through time and space, you'll meet unique and unpredictable characters that will make fun of you, but only because of goodness of their hearts. Absolutely hilarious, I haven't been laughing that in a long time, comedy that everyone needs to see. There's some drama too, but enough spoilers, go get your tickets, don't be silly to miss it! 5*****

What a splendid show, deserving of a bigger stage and a a bigger audience. Jess is pitch perfect with a collection of very funny, well realised characters, punctuating her autobiographical journey from TV child star to now. Loved it, and want to see it again. Go see it while it’s HOT

Absolute belter of a show, laughed non-stop. Jess Carrivick takes you on a comedic journey with some very witty original content and is very engaging from start to finish. By far my favourite show of the Fringe so far.

My favourite show so far. Unashamedly quirky, this show is also inventive, intelligent, impressively varied, and very funny. I was regularly laughing out loud, as if drunk, despite being completely sober. The show is also warm hearted and leaves you leaving happier than when you entered.

We went to this show this afternoon and really enjoyed it. Jess brings clever, sharp writing and impressive impersonations and physical comedy together to create a piece which is a lot of fun. This kind of intimate, laugh out loud performance is just what the fringe is all about. I've no doubt this young comedian is one to watch.
