An incredible performance of a beautifully written one-woman play. Jess, played by Stephanie, takes you from ugly crying to laughing out loud, from thinking deeply about the mess and wounds caused by being human to celebrating our funny quirks and connectedness. Thought provoking, insightful, and pertinent, we left feeling deeper appreciation for those we hold near and dear due to the reminder from Jess that life is for loving.

AMAZING! Loneliness, love and loss through the eyes of a female surgeon; this one-woman play is a brilliant display of both writing and acting talent, exploring the intricacies of modern professional life from lived experience. The challenges portrayed are unique to the character but resonate with everyone. The performance is both insightful and balanced, with a healthy dose of humour! If you're after something deeper than simple laughs and want a more meaningful experience, this intimate play is definitely worth watching!

What an amazing actress who presented the script with such power that you left wanting yo know if she was struck off? If she ever had a baby? Did she help her mother die?? You left wanting the sequel!

They say Dr Theatre is a great healer. Well whatever reason Kate O’Rourke and writer Stephanie Silver had for making this show it helped us understand a life where the central fictionalised character was always feeling FINE. This is a contemporary memoire of a single overworked underloved phenomenally skilled person sleepwalking with us through life. Someone we put on a pedestal and need to be showing all their skills any moment of the day or night when we need to be saved. This is a solo show bringing many stories from Casualty into a single narrative...and it is a deeply truthful lived life, very well performed for us on stage. So pleased to see a 50% house including a good number of medics who clearly got some bitter sweet references. Thank you. Healing theatre for performer and audience.

A moving story brilliantly delivered; I was drawn in to it from the outset & was held captivated until the end. Totally recommended.

LOVED IT! A Brilliant performance drew me in from the get go. Honestly portrays that people who have positions of high reponsibility, stress and stature are prone to self doubt, lonliness and a search for love and happiness.
With humour and finnesse JESS tells a convincing and powerful tale that is not at all too heavy. Highly recommendedץ

'Jess' is a powerful, one-woman play which throws a spotlight on working frontline for the NHS while trying to have a fulfilled personal life. Stephanie plays Jess with warmth and humour in a brutally honest tale of a woman searching for love. Start your day with quality writing and excellent acting which is what 'Jess' delivers.

This was a well-acted, meaningful show exploring the dilemmas behind modern professional life as seen through the eyes of a woman surgeon: the problems faced are specific to a surgeon but apply to all of us. It's humorous in places and well worth seeing if, as I do, you want to get away from belly-laughs. *****

Amazing show, very well written and the performance was really captivating. Really recommend if you love ‘this is going to hurt’. Funny and moving- a must see !!

Exceptionally well written and well acted. This show had an authenticity that resonated and a lesser actress would have been tempted to overdramatize the performance. The well tempered performance drew me in.

Stephanie Perry gives a moving, heartfelt portrayal of Jess, juggling the needs of the NHS with her own relationships and desires. A simple story effectively told.
