Description

The 'poor, obscure, plain and little' orphan, forced to find her own way in the world, surrounded by mists of secrets and unspoken truths, has enthralled generations of readers. This heartwarming production of Jane Eyre was the perfect way to begin the Fringe. The casting of the characters was excellent, the acting very convincing, and the show overall incredibly moving. Jane Eyre was the perfect actress for the role and we were all amazed how well this show managed to condense a relatively long and dense book into less than an hour. Recommended for first-time viewers and Jane Eyre fans alike - a reliably beautiful production and definitely a Fringe favourite this year. Will look out for more shows from this company in the future.

What a talented team. I was not sure how they could fit this brilliant story into a 1-hour fringe show. But they beautifully and faithfully captured the spirit of the story. I was really touched to follow Jane Eyre in this fine adaptation. Wow! Five stars.

A beautiful rendition of a classic. I didn't think it could be abridged in one hour, but they've done it perfectly and the result is quite moving. All the actors were really good.

Wow, such an intense and powerful adaptation of this classic. Beautifully written by Rebecca Vines and performed by an extremely talented group of performers. The chemistry on stage was electric.
