My friend and I always go and see James's show every year, it's become our tradition, but every year I forget how excellent and truly wonderful a storyteller he is, he's simply amazing, engaging and hooks you in with warmth. I was genuinely very moved by this show and left pondering what fragments of memory I'd want to flash before my eyes at the end. Thank you James for telling these stories.

If you like story telling you will like this. Christ, does this guy enjoy telling a story! I thought it was going to be darker than it was what with the title and the costume but don't let that put you off. Its uplifting to see a performer so engaged with his audience.

Incredible storytelling, and a very rare opportunity to take away a genuinely personal interpretation. Everyone must see this.

The best show at the Fringe this year. James is an exceptional storyteller, commanding your attention from the first sentence, weaving a range of emotional narratives intelligently from comedic and joyful, to heartbreaking and raw, with both incredible vulnerability and charm. If you love a good storyteller, you can't miss James Rowland at this Fringe and any other Fringe he attends.

What a beautiful show—an encounter with a human being who spends an hour transmitting bits of himself, his personality, his loves, the stories and songs that have shaped him, etc. to the audience in the most beautiful way. Thank you. This is what we come to the fringe to see.

I'm guessing there aren't other reviews here because this show is so hard to describe. Best to say it's a master class in public speaking, in storytelling, in grabbing an audience. Having said that, it's a guy with messy hair in an open-backed hospital gown, giving a lecture largely about Robin Hood while a digital clock behind him ticks off his last minutes. Riveting, fascinating, hilarious, poignant, and again, masterful, it's as brilliant as it is unique. I hope it travels the world so I can see it again.

It’s a joyful experience, and one that still stands head and shoulders above much of the fare at this Fringe.
