This show was absolutely brilliant! Great for all ages later teenage and above. He was highly talented and the show was extremely well constructed. Roche built a very strong rapport with the audience and the whole thing was both complex and comedic: a must see!

***** Five stars…
Jake is all at once brilliant, heartbreaking, funny, witty and so cleverly musical.
I was taken to some dark places in his show but I was always engaged and entertained.
It’s a must see for me!
(Jake - you deffo sing better than your dad, too! Meant in a very kind way, by the way!)

A wonderfully presented show wich took us through a roller coaster of emotions. I'd never heard of Jake Roche before, but I will certainly never forget him. This guy deserves a great future in whatever form of entertainment he chooses. I have been to many Fringe shows, and this has to up there with the best of them.

I hated the first 3 haemarroid-related minutes so much I was contemplating how I could leave, but it is utter testament to Jake Roche's force of charm and personality that he was able to bring me round to the extent that I was rooting for him and had a tear in my eye by the end. This was a brave tactic but one which paid off. I could have done without the graphic representation of the initial appearance of said haemorrhoids when he returned to the subject halfway through, but felt the general narrative arc and use of multimedia was excellent.

This is impossible to define or describe in full. In other words, go and see it and experience it. A beautifully crafted, courageously created, timely and important piece of storytelling. But this is story is a privilege to watch as it is Jake being himself, allowing his vulnerability to become his strength and sharing it with us. A hugely important piece that needs to go beyond the Fringe to a much, much wider audience - good one Jake.

This show was the perfect blend of entertaining and raw, humorous and meaningful. Jake is not only incredibly musically talented (as can be seen throughout this entire show) but he’s wise and intentional—every aspect of this show comes together satisfyingly to tell Jake’s story. This is a MUST SEE, for all ages and interests.

This a raw, truthful, and energetic piece from a man who had a meteoric rise to fame at 21 and then came crashing down after little over a year stadium level stardom in a boy band. Jake Roche takes all the shame, pain, and existential loss and delivers a show that has you feel the thrill of his rise and highs, and the searing humiliations of his defeat all while admiring the artistry, humour, technical skills, and self-awareness that he brings to telling his story. By the end I found myself really caring about this young talent and what he chooses to do next with his obvious creative skills and industry experience. Here’s to you Jake!

Jake is an absolute delight on stage! His show will take you through every emotion, shedding humour on the darker bits of fame. This is more than just a one man play, neporrhoids utilises voice change filter, key boards, as well as lots of other pieces to truly emmerse you in the story. If you see any show this fringe make sure to give Jake a watch, you won't regret it!

To say we loved this show would be an understatement. Yes there are zillions of shows at the Fringe but trust us you will not be disappointed with Neporrhoids. Defined as a child of famous parents you will most definitely changed your mind if you were one of those people who thought Jake was nothing but a cocky little shit. He's a young man of many talents and this piece of art is certainly not one to be missed.

The story itself is as thrilling as you’d expect from someone who has experienced the highs of life as a pop star in LA, but it’s Jake’s command of timing along with all of the on-stage gymnastic elements that make this special.

In the UK, we are rather too keen and too delighted to write people off. If the motivation of Jake Roche: Neporrhoids was to reset his public perception, remind people of his talent and set out his stall for bigger things to come…mission accomplished!
