Description
A rule-breaker, a risk taker, a wave-maker and a convention-shaker – all phrases never before used to describe Jake Baker. But when a frustrating game of Alan Turing-themed Monopoly leaves him questioning the laws of the game, he finds himself turning that analytical impulse to bigger things. He may be a perennially gentle soul but he is coming out of his cage (and he's doing just fine, thank you very much). 'Endearingly offbeat, with great comic timing and an engagingly whimsical mind' **** (TheEdinburghReporter.co.uk). 'Quietly impressive, a talent that should not be overlooked' (Chortle.co.uk).Please note that while all media gallery content is provided by verified members of the event, the Edinburgh Festival Fringe Society does not review or approve this content before it is posted. Great show, intelligent and witty without relying on slandering others. Jake has a lot of important things to say and I can’t wait to see what shows he comes up with next!

Saw Jake's show last year so was looking forward to this one and it didn't disappoint! Another hour in excellent company, inventive gags flowing one after another in his charming, self-deprecating style. Highly recommended.

We had the pleasure to see Jake last year at the Fringe and I'm glad we came back, a great show!

We had seen Jake at a comedy compilation and decided to check out his actual show. We are so glad that we did! He is sweet, utterly loveable and absolutely hilarious! He perfectly balanced self-deprecating with funny in a way that had us laughing rather than wanting to pay for his therapy. His set was smart, sharp and relatable. Definitely recommend you don't miss this one!

We saw Jake Baker last year and I really wanted to tell everyone to go see his show, but unfortunately it was the end of the Fringe and my review was pointless. Excited to put that right this year: this show is brilliant, and you shouldn’t miss it.
Jake is a master of taking a funny idea and spinning it out to its most absurd, hilarious conclusion; in an understated way, he has command of the room from the moment he steps in it. It’s a free show, and it was way funnier than some of the things we paid for tickets for. Seriously. Go see this.

saw this show this afternoon and it was a joy! Jake is such an understated performer - it's like chatting with a friend (so much so that one audience member just joined it, and he dealt with that beautifully)
He manages to combine intelligent, thoughtful insight with daft jokes, we laughed from start to finish. Highly recommend!
