Absolute delight! Worth taking a chance on this one.

Why is this musical not playing in the West End?
This one is an absolute gem. Great tunes, laugh out loud lyrics, tight staging, exceptional performances all round.
WARNING: If you're not British then maybe check out what a Jaffa Cake is and understand that the British Government taxes the sale of biscuits but does not tax the sale of bread & cakes. Armed with that knowledge you're sure to enjoy this brilliant show.

Absolutely loved this musical show, a highlight of my week, great music and witty lyrics and so much fun. Who knew how many words rhyme with biscuit!! Very clever performers (just 5 of them) seamlessly doing different roles with real energy . Props were great fun too with the giant Jaffa cake! Strong singers and great keyboard playing. Nice touch to have #team biscuit and #team cake stickers.
I’d love to see this show taken beyond the Fringe. I remember Six the musical being at Edinburgh ……

Hilarious and incredibly witty musical that I loved from start to end. It had a really sweet message and I have to shoutout the Tax Man as she was funny and wonderful playing all sorts of comical roles!

Alastair McInnes 30 days ago

In retrospect, it seems obvious that what the canon of world music really needed was a song-and-dance number about dunking biscuits (never cakes) in tea. You really need to come to the show and hear it for yourself.

Nicholas Clark 30 days ago

Just wonderful. Snappy songs and music excellently performed. 5*

You don't get a sell-out crowd day after day two weeks into the Festival Fringe for no reason, and this new musical about the court case which determined (legally) whether a Jaffa Cake is a cake or a biscuit, absolutely brings the goods.

The actors are universally excellent and great singers, the music is catchy and the script properly funny. Silly? Absolutely, but never in a way that slips into indulgence or grows tiresome. Appropriately for a musical, I can't sing its praises enough.

The joy of the Fringe is the way it lets projects that may struggle elsewhere have their time to shine, and I will be forever grateful it's here for plays like this. If you can get a ticket, snap it up. This is brilliant.

Packing out Pleasance Two with Jaffa Cake (or Biscuit) the Musical shows the following that this company have after Timpsons a few years back. Combine first rate performers, a great quirky idea, and toetapping lyric driven comedy songs and you have the formula for a warm hearted audience pleaser. Is this just a Fringe winner or could it go forward. I wonder whether a return next Year to Pleasance One with a star cast of Edfringe regular comedians might be fun (a la Guy Mastersons inspired invention with Twelve Angry Men). Otherwise or as well it feels a perfect expanded cast vehicle for a Rep Company or a the non-professional world of Amateur and Community Theatre. Congrats to a hard working versatile cast.

Is it a cake? Is it a biscuit? This new musical tells the tale of the court case which decided. Really talented cast and great songs. Highly recommended, one of our highlights of the Fringe!

Our favourite show on the Fringe this year. This is great fun and excellently performed by a talented, energetic cast. If you want to smile this is one to see. Any chance of putting the songs on Spotify guys? Pretty please?

Really great! We loved it. High energy and really funny.

When a few weeks ago I was browsing through the musicals that would take place this year's Fringe and I saw there would be some musical about this crazy fun piece of history regarding the cake or biscuit Jaffa Cake trial, I just knew I had to watch it.

It was a super fun musical, amazing performances, really great energy, and overall a fantastic experience. 100% would recommend.

I didn’t expect to enjoy this as much as I did. I don’t even like Jaffa Cakes.

It’s a brilliant, charming, low-stakes musical, the set is simple but effective, the music is impressively performed, and the actors were all brilliant. The amusing debate at hand was well executed, with decent arguments from each point of view.

The highlight for me was the first appearance and subsequent song of the ‘Tax Man’.

I still couldn’t care less if it’s a biscuit or a cake though, they’re disgusting.

Excellent production & cast. Definitely worth seeing. Just bring some jaffa cakes with you since you’ll be wanting one by the end of the show

A real highlight of our Fringe. Everything is spot on, the singing, acting and dancing, the set, the costumes and almost above all the story. It's clever, funny, clean and original. Highly Recommended.

Very much enjoyed this musical! This fabulously talented cast gives a stellar performance and makes this one of my must-see shows at the Fringe this year.

Cake or biscuit. Grab a packet & see this orange-tastic show. Worth it alone for Alex Prescott‘s hair.

To bake a cake or not to bake a cake, that is the question?
Highly recommend this witty and well acted musical, the audience loved it.
Look up the facts afterwards, it’s all true.

This was an excellent musical; great singing, fabulous humour, and packed full of talent. I highly recommend this show as my top pick of the Fringe, so far.

This show ate. It left no crumbs. It was saccharin in the best way possible.

It is the anti-musical musical - softly mocking the genre, hitting the high notes.

If they didn’t get sponsorship from Jaffa Cakes they should! Pastry perfection.

Annabel Walley 41 days ago

Excellent - great fun - not to be missed. Family friendly. Stand out performance from Katie Pritchard.

A great, fun new musical!

Go in expecting great performers but little story. The actors have great timing, but the show is built on a thin premise and is repetitive.

Davide ianni 46 days ago

Probably the best law-themed musical after Legally blonde. And it's about a cake. Or biscuit. Or cake. Anyway, it's beautiful. Sweeter, funnier, tastier than a jaffa cake. But similarly, it will leave you wanting more.

Watched the show today with my daughters (13 and 10). Good fun, good laughs, amazing singing and really enjoyable. 5 stars! #TeamCake

Anders and Sanna 50 days ago

This is the best cake- (or biscuit-) based musical we've seen so far. Great and very professional performances from the cast.

(also enjoyable if you like musicals, but aren't necessarily into tax law. Go see!)

If you like musicals such as the West End smashes Operation Mincemeat or Kathy & Stella Solve a Murder, then A Jaffa Cake Musical will definitely satisfy your cravings. Here’s hoping we get a lot more chocolatey orange cakey treats in our future.
