Description

Two people, one bed and no connection. He's lost. She's pretending. Old enough to make the right decisions. Young enough to make the wrong ones. Yet they both keep ending up back in the same place. A story of boredom, crumbs, missed opportunities, box sets, pyjama sets, bad sex, concepts and crushing. Love? Through the lens of a bed it explores two people coming together only to fall apart. Being in your twenties is fun, but most of the time it's just a bit of a sh**t show.

Authentic, nuanced, detailed performances, a sharp script, and intentional direction—really recommend catching them at Fringe and beyond!

Witty, poignant, challenging and, above all, very entertaining.

(I was distracted by the hole in the man’s sock. Did this have some deep and meaningful Freudian significance, which I had missed, or was it indeed just a hole?)

This show is as hilarious as it is poignant . Exploring the different relationships done with ease and grace. The actors and writing is great. Highly recommend to watch it.

I was told in the bar beforehand that the actors were ‘West End ready’ and after seeing the show for myself, I have to agree. It’s a brilliantly intimate and authentic play that knows its own identity so well. The acting writing and directing are handled with outstanding deliberate nuance. A good piece of characterisation is rarer than you would think at the Fringe, so it was beyonf impressive to see this production effortlessly produce such well-defined, layered and meaningful characters that interacted with each other in refreshing, engaging and organic ways. A hell of a showcase for what is undoubtably a long and successful career for each person involved.

I really enjoyed this show! I loved the chemistry between the actors and the situations will really strike a chord with anyone who’s been between the sheets!! Go see it!!

I went to this because of a vague connection with the artists so this isn't entirely unbiased. There were good bits and bad bits. The good bits included the acting which was polished, the direction which was fresh and the writing which felt authentic. The bad bits is the name, I didn't like the name much. I guess it's not such a bad name by itself but I didn't think it fitted the play that week. But I don't have a better suggestion. And I don't think the name is really the main bit. Overall it was very good.

The chemistry between the two main characters and the detailed and carefully crafted directing make this show truly engrossing. You cannot look away as these relatively normal people showcase life and relationships in a way that feels completely genuine and natural . Fantastic and well worth a watch!

Very much enjoyed this play. Great script and wonderfully acted. Always a good sign when you can’t see the acting I think and there conversations seem very natural and plausible.
It was an interesting, real and insightful story! Would certainly recommend! Great theatre space also

Incredible writing, incredible acting, excellent direction, quick pacing. My colleague and I stumbled into the show by accident and were absolutely BLOWN AWAY by the talent. When it started I thought surely this must already be a published and celebrated work… I was astonished to learn it was a new play! Brava and congratulations to these stars!

A script overflowing with poignancy, relatability and wit, delivered by a pair of actors offering truly captivating yet tastefully understated performances. As sentimental as it is funny.

Brilliant new writing that left me wanting more. Funny, relatable and powerful from beginning to end. This is what the festival should be all about - seeing and enjoying new talent that will no doubt go far.

A beautiful and intimate portrayal of what a situationship can be in your 20s. Pillow talk is where difficult talks and moments of levity take place, and even more so when you have one single room in a flat share. Deserves to be on the map!

Carr-Jones’s direction is light and breezy, with scenes merging into one another but never taking too long before it becoming clear that it’s a different time and a different combination of people.
