Description
Have you ever made a mistake that completely alters the course of your life? For Joan, her greatest desire has become her greatest nightmare. Stuck in Purgatory, Joan must face not the wrath of God, but her own: can she relive her memories and accept her death? Or will Joan be stuck in Purgatory forever? With God’s help, Joan ventures down memory lane to figure out where she went wrong, what led to her untimely death, and if she can ever make this up to her sister. Fingers crossed God hears her prayers! Please note that while all media gallery content is provided by verified members of the event, the Edinburgh Festival Fringe Society does not review or approve this content before it is posted. An original, lovely, provocative show. They make good use of their small space. Very intimate.

It will be hard to find another show with a mix of such gorgeous writing, generous vulnerability, and such a fun production. If I Only Could is a delightful and cathartic experience for anyone who has experienced loss. This team is fantastic!

Saw this on the spur of the moment and so glad we did! Poignant writing, skilled acting and excellent direction and staging, which really made the most of the space. Layered portrayals of complex characters made this a joy to watch and tugged at the heartstrings!

A great concept for a show but didn't hit the mark for me. It felt more like a drama than a dark comedy. Love god as a girly pop but wanted a bit more. Still a good show if you want to see another perspective of the afterdeath and what you wish you could say to those loved ones who are gone too soon.

A deeply emotional and playful story that left me wanting to call my sister and tell her how much I love her. The script is excellent and the performers are absolutely fantastic, letting the audience in with such ease and grace. Highly recommend!!!
