Description
In spite of everything, Ian Stone is trying to keep it together. But what does it matter that he has all his own hair and teeth and keeps a tight control over his between-meal snacking when the country is a mess, there’s war in the Middle East, and Donald Trump could be allowed back into the White House? 'A masterful exponent of self-mocking Jewish humour' **** (Times). 'Seriously funny' (Guardian). 'One of the sharpest comic minds in the country' (Romesh Ranganathan). Didn't realise we were still making playground jokes about letters for sexuality, pronouns, and cheap jokes about being gay (apparently OK because his son is gay!). For someone whose description alluded to jokes punching up about his Jewish background, really shocked to find him punching down about minorities he has absolutely no lived experience with. Great comedy if you share his demographic… not so much if you are part of the minorities being joked about in a really un-nuanced, "laughing at and not with" way.

Clearly aimed at my demographic! Laughed all the way through this show, and my 19 year old really enjoyed it too. Hilarious observational comedy. Go see it!!

This dude has been stand up for years and remains relevant and fun. As a middle aged comic myself I love the fact that he is still able to make an all age crowd laugh. Inspirational and fun!

One of the best stand ups our family saw this fringe!

Funny guy. Stopped us in the street and was easy to chat too, a quick witted, likeable guy. All of which transcribed into his show. We laughed a lot. His set flowed, was delivered well and kept the audience engaged . As he said ‘this isn’t his first rodeo’.FYI It’s a free ticketed gig, so for those who didn’t like it .. it costs nothing .

The first half and the ending were very funny; the middle part less so but still amusing.

Wasn’t for me sadly. I think the comedy is aimed at a slightly older demographic, but even that said I didn’t think it was very imaginative. I would suggest spending an hour elsewhere, especially if you’re in your 20s or 30s

Excellent comedian. Quick wit. Creative and original. Approachable and engaging. Far superior to some of the major acts in major venues. Highly recommended.

Third year running I’ve seen Ian. Really funny guy. Venue was absolutely packed and rightly so. His skilful delivery and engaging style makes him one of the most consistently funny performers at the Fringe. Wish him luck on his upcoming tour. Catch him if you can. Highly recommended.
