Description

When we were young, sticks were swords, chocolate was currency and we all had the power to change the world. Clyde the jellyfish is on a quest to find a forever friend, in a home being polluted by the world above. When he mistakes a plastic bag named Bubbles for a total jellybabe, will they discover that a life in plastic is not so fantastic? Jam Jar Theatre Company presents a tentacle-tapping puppetry musical, for children and adults, friends and anemones, for our world and the generation inheriting its issues. You'll be ten-tickled pink!

Joyful and thought-provoking. A treat for the eyes and ears!

How a Jellyfish Saved the World is a wonderfully sweet and moving puppetry show that will make you ardently wish you were 5 years old again. Not only does it delight its young target audience, adults will also enjoy this wholesome and poignant piece. Even if you’re not accompanying a young spectator, this is a show worth seeing. The cast are energetic and incredibly talented, engaging with young children and parents alike while performing original music that is emotional yet light, I’m sure your little ones will want to go back just so they can sing along! The set design and puppets are beautifully crafted and the show flows smoothly on a current of joy, friendship and love.

I’m sure we’ve all felt like Clyde, alone and adrift in the world, once in our lives! So go see this show and become besties with a jellyfish (and two devilishly funny crabs).

Warning: includes (air) tickling!

This is such a beautiful, original, five-star show. A lovely and important story performed in such an engaging way - the original songs, characters and masterful puppetry makes this a Fringe must-see! I'm sure that kids and adults of all ages would love this show, and I know I'll be thinking about Clyde and his (forever) friends for a long time to come! Ten tickles from me!!
