Description

Director's Choice Award Sydney Comedy Festival 2023. Nobody does sketch comedy like these freaks. Fresh from their award-winning sold-out shows, Australia's Hot Department make their Edinburgh debut with an hour of high-energy, cinematic, unhinged sketch comedy. Seen on Just For Laughs and opening for Patti Harrison and Aunty Donna, this duo are the rising MILFs of international comedy. Bring a towel. 'Cult following' **** (Chortle.co.uk). 'Mind-meltingly funny' (Beat.com.au). 'This is not stand up' **** (TheAge.com.au). 'The last time I saw something this new, original, exciting and funny was when I caught The Mighty Boosh live in 1999' (MonsterChildren.com).

This is the 'must see' show of the Fringe so far for me. It's what the festival is all about. Going to see a show without prior knowledge and being absolutely blown away by it. Didn't stop laughing from the moment they danced into the room until way after the doors opened at the end. To be honest, i still find myself laughing when parts of the show pop into my brain days later.
Read the warnings and additional info. Even then, you still will not be prepared for the experience. Sublime.

An intense power hour of queer, fast-paced, high-energy and dynamic sketch comedy. If it sounds like your sort of show, you'll be laughing from start to finish like me.

Oh my god this is the best you guys are the best your brains are so big and full with comedy you must feel crazy - had the BEST TIME this is such a blast. Stars. Comedy bones.

Incredibly funny show, full of character, energy and goofiness. Patrick and Honor are a joy to watch, I did NOT want the hour to end. At all. Who do I need to speak to to get these guys doing a four-hour sketch-a-thon?

Can't believe we stumbled across this gem!
This show encompasses everything the Fringe should be about.
Fun filled, fast comedy that doesn't take itself too seriously, with two of the most lovely people!
We laughed from beginning to end - genuinely.
Excellent!

They’re unafraid to take things the perfect half-step too far and serve as proof that great comedy can (and should!) be clever and hot. At long last!
