Description

Searching for his beloved Alice in a race against time, Hatter leaves home. But what is Wonderland without Hatter? And – more importantly – what is Hatter without Wonderland? Catapulted into an even topsy-turvier dark near-future, our galumphing hero must face some terrible truths… But if all truth comes at a cost, will the discovery be worth the price paid? An exploration of excitement, The Hatter’s Requiem follows our mimsy milliner’s quest for love, identity and – ultimately – redemption. A quirky ensemble adventure awaits. Tick tock.

Very charming, and a little poignant if you are 60, like me.

An imaginative & creative way to bring Wonderland & not Wonderland to life!
Special shout out to Francesca Fox on a great performance as The Hatter; playing it with a childlike curiosity & dismissal of danger!

A really intriguing take on Alice in Wonderland, drawing inventively on the language and tropes of the original to create an entirely new imaginative landscape with the Hatter as the central character. Superb staging and use of the small space, excellent ensemble work with strong acting, singing, and movement - really accomplished. Particularly fun for devotees of the Alice books.

Brilliant show. The hour you spend with these characters is guaranteed to fly by. Beautifully written and just as beautifully executed by its cast, “The Hatter’s Requiem” doesn’t just tell you a story, it tells and teaches you something about ourselves with a deep and powerful message about society underpinning the non-stop adventure. Watch it whilst you can before they have to take it on tour to China.

I had the pleasure of seeing this show yesterday, and it was a wild and whimsical journey with innovative storytelling, fantastic characterisation and a brand new twist on the differences between Wonderland and our own world. Every cast member has a moment to shine in larger than life roles with clever comic timing and gorgeous lyrical wordplay. The Rabbit Hole was a sultry and unexpected delight of a scene, and the musical soundtrack to the work was perfectly pitched to match the shifting moods and emotions on stage. A beautiful journey, well crafted, and well performed. Don't miss your chance to see it!
