Description

'Voice of a generation' (Skinny). Hannah Platt is an honest, distinctive new comic with an unflinching outlook on the world and, after a diagnosis of body dysmorphia, how the world looks back at her. Often acerbic and never shying away from sensitive topics, Hannah asks why we keep people at arm's length, and are you really a people pleaser if no one is pleased? Nominated Best Debut Show at Leicester Comedy Festival, BBC New Comedy Awards Finalist. Seen on BBC3 and heard on BBC Radio 4. Tour support for Fern Brady, Lou Sanders and Ashley Gavin.

I saw Hannah Platt's WIP at the last Fringe, and it honestly helped me hearing certain subjects tackled at a point I was really struggling myself. I was really looking forward to seeing her again and how her debut show had come together for this year's Fringe. I was absolutely not disappointed, great show and delivered with fantastic gusto. Witty and funny and at times all to relatable. Big recommend, go see this show already! She deserves every bit of positive buzz her debut has so far been creating.

Great Debut from Hannah

I very much enjoyed this performance. Hannah is always engaging, and I found their take on the subject matter to be thoroughly absorbing and original. And funny (obviously). I believe this is Hannah’s debut Edinburgh hour; they should be very proud of what they have achieved. I look forward to seeing more of Hannah’s work in the future. I have no hesitation in recommending this show.

Platt masterfully walks the razors-edge between self-deprecation and self-loathing
