After seeing the show advertised on Instagram for a while me and my friends thought "why not" and bought some tickets not really knowing what to expect. Well we loved it!

From start to finish the whole performance was captivating. The way the guys pull you in so you feel exactly what they want. Whether that's the banter between two colleges or the pain of some dark truths of this world.

All this combined made for a perfect show and one I would love to have watched again. Expect belly laughs/crying with laughter and shocked silence. Can't wait to see if it goes on tour or more shows from the writer.

10/10 for sure!

Well worth seeing. A great play and wouldn't be surprised to see all the actors going places. What the festival is all about.

Saw this on a complete whim after missing another show due to train issues. I was so glad I did. A little creeps and dealt with some disturbing themes - but phenomenal acting. Helps that it was in a creepy room in what I think is part of the medical school. Please go see it!

After seeing this show advertised on Instagram myself and 2 friends decided we were going to have a roadtrip to see it and it’s safe to say it was worth the 3 hour drive!

The actors were fantastic, the humour was spot on and storyline was captivating! The whole show was the perfect mix of spookiness and comedy and it left us all wanting more! I would happily see this show again, or any other show by the same writer for that matter!

I can’t recommend it enough, 5 stars from me!

I was expecting to be startled after reading other reviews. But thankfully the sudden surprises were not too alarming. I found the comedy banter between the two undertakers very funny. Recommend.

Review copied across from partners twitter-
Dark, terrifying and funny - The rapid back and forth from the wonderful cast bring this well written piece to life.

Very taut yet funny show. Very good plot, acting and lighting/presentation. Not sure I completely understood the ending but it was still highly enjoyable.

Brilliant show which I throughly enjoyed ! Funny and gripping throughout - the show flew by. My enjoyment was only slightly hampered by the presence of Richard Mellish beside me. I see he has posted a review below me, perhaps he did this during the show as his phone was on and used. At one point he audibly gasped and swore at the mildest of volume raises, this was far more alarming than the music he reacted to. I wish not to judge but do not be put off by this man and his overly sensitive ears.

I was enjoying this until a scene break, when we were assaulted not merely by music, which I would anyway prefer to be spared, but music much louder than the actors' voices. I fled. If you don't care to be deafened, give this show a miss.

A wonderful hour of theatre, and without a doubt the most exciting show I saw whilst at the Fringe. A plot filled with twists and turns, a barrel full of belly laughs, and a trio of faultless performances make this dark comedy an absolute must see. I’ve heard The Grim has been selling out regularly, so get your tickets before they are gone!

An excellent blend of comedy and fun, dark thrills. The banter between the two leads is crackling, wittily acerbic without being mean-spirited. The horror aspect is enjoyably creepy and effective. Genuine surprises are hard to pull off in an intimate space, but this play does so. Towards the end I felt some confusion about character motives and the world's rules, but those issues are comparatively minor. This is so far my favorite Fringe experience this year.

This was a thrilling and darkly funny show and I loved it. The three performers were excellent and the characters they created were distinct and totally believable. Would definitely recommend to anyone who enjoys black, ghostly humour!

An expertly crafted play delivered by exceptionally talented actors. It is both thrilling and funny - a must watch show! 5/5

Gasp-inducing, genuinely excellent theatre. With, by turns, charming, exasperating and moving characters and a plot that twists and writhes its way to an eye-opening and dramatically satisfying conclusion, the grim is more than it seems at first. Compellingly rendered, instantly entertaining performances and atmospheric lighting and sound design make the play’s forays into the supernatural feel at once utterly believable and deliciously genre.

A clever thriller/horror with a great conceit: two eccentric undertakers are preparing the corpse of a particularly notorious murderer. There's a lot of sharp banter, neat sound design, and a fun reveal ... but the play doesn't *quite* stick the landing. (I'm not actually sure I understood the resolution: there was a lot of exposition, fast, from one of the characters.) Recommended if you like something both comic and spooky.
