Description
Aki Remally and Fraser Urquhart play a whole set of jazz, funk and soul from the songbook of the godfather of hip hop, Gil Scott-Hero with a four-piece jazz funk ensemble featuring the heaviest cats around. I was naively not aware of Gil Scott Heron but this show has opened my eyes to some fantastic music. The singer was brilliant and sung with such soul. The band and venue were also excellent. Reminder to all queue early at the jazz bar to be assured of a seat.
