Description

'I got very little, little to no media training, so... Sorry!' Sir Galahad the Pure, Knight of the Round Table, son of Lancelot the Brave, is taking a bath. Even the chosen one needs a break sometimes, okay? But long soaks in the bath can lead to painful questions, and the cleaner Galahad gets, the dirtier he becomes. In this darkly comedic show about sex, jobs, and the Holy Grail, by the time Galahad gets out, he might not want to be so Pure anymore.

I suspected this would be a top 5 show for me this year and after seeing it a second time I'm pretty certain. The unusual story and perspective are interesting, but what really sets this apart is the abundant charm of Forest Malley (Galahad), whose performance is richly humorous but also moving. The staging and music deserve special mention too. A real showcase of what a solo performance can achieve.

My face hurts from laughing so much! And eyes welled with tears as well - brilliantly written and acted by rising stars over from New York. A must see at this year’s Fringe! So compelling it will make you want to deep dive into Arthurian mythology…

This is the BEST show that we saw at the Fringe this year! A fantastic script, great directing, amazing production, and a truly remarkable performance by Forest Malley. The play is both hilarious and moving. This performance should not be missed -- truly remarkable! Bravo!

This tour de force is a must see at the Fringe! Don’t miss its last week! This modern day twist on Sir Galahad the pure left me crying with laughter. Forest Malley shines brilliantly in this tortured role, expertly handling a make believe press conference with a mix of endearing cheekiness and genuine emotion. Bravo!

A brilliant show. The longer I sit and think about it, the more I realise just quite how brilliant. I feel like I need to see it a second time to see the nuances I'm sure I missed the first time round
It's a funny show, yes, but mostly it's heartbreaking and very intimate (Galahad does actually take a bath)

Excellent show!! Make sure to make time to see this during your fringe visit! Heartwarming, funny, unexpected!! Galahad is absolutely charming. Story is engaging, humorous, and thought provoking!

A hysterical, zany, at times heartbreaking story of Sir Galahad, knight of the round table and his quest for the holy grail. You can’t stop rooting for Galahad for the entire 55 minutes whether you are laughing or nearly crying for him. Not to be missed! Beautifully crafted, fun and funny.

What a thoroughly lovely show! Writing, staging and acting are all first rate. Forest Malley is a revelation. The script is full of witty references to Arthurian legend and contemporary corporate culture, woven together by Malley’s poignant and powerful performance. We laughed, we cried, we laugh-cried. 5 enthusiastic stars!

A fantastic performance full of energy.
Very funny and in some parts sensitive and sad.
I really recommend you to go and see this great performance.

Definitely one of my favourite acting performances at this years fringe. A beautifully played Galahad, legends of knights and kings and... a bath. seriously what more can you ask for?? Go see!

Forest Malley portrays Sir Gahalad as an insecure, sad and lonely figure beautifully. Their eyes dart nervously about the room as they face questions about their quest for the grail and their chastity. They painfully tell of violence in their lives and their problematic relationship with their father. Malley is a handsome and engaging actor and this play is worth seeking out.

Funny, raw and brilliant - a convincing, vulnerable Galahad.

Galahad is noble, virtuous, respected, contented, (not) media savvy, amusing, and....a little bit sensual....and....
Go and see!
Highly Recommended.

Saw this today - slightly surreal and funny.

I enjoyed it including what Galahad said I wasn't supposed to see. An eye-opener as it were.

Forest Malley is a really engaging actor as Galahad, and even managed to prevent his bath upstaging him just in time!

Galahad Takes a Bath is a brilliant piece of absurdist comedy that will have its audiences in stitches. It is a completely different take on Arthurian legend and offers a new kind of depth to “Galahad the Pure” which makes this show entirely unforgettable.
