Gabey Lucas: A Berkshire Boar Walks Into a Bar (and Gets Shot in the Face)

Comedy (stand-up, historical)

  • Babes in arms policy: Babies do not require a ticket
  • Policy applies to: Children under 2 years

Description

'Witty yet strangely informative' Gabey Lucas (Rip City Comedy Festival, Martin Foundation Full Artist 2020 finalist) wants to talk to you about hard-hitting subjects like unicorn propaganda, snake abs, and kidnapping Abe Lincoln – who could totally beat the crap out of Alexander The Great, by the way. Unfortunately, to do so she first has to stop getting sidetracked by the silliest pig-based almost-war in human history. She's not great at that. 'A f*cking great writer' (Patrick Borelli, The Tonight Show).

This felt like a history class with your funniest teacher. Gabey weaves a complex navigates through wonderful comedy and has crafted a very enjoyable hour.

Gabey was brilliant! If the main story is a mountain, the trail up has many scenic vistas of hilarity. Go see this show! It deserves to sell out

Gabey is a fantastic new comedian that really makes you think. Primarily she makes you think about how you would steal 100 sheep from a small island. Very funny storyteller with a very cute plush pig.

Gabey is the human personification of Dory…and what an enjoyable person to watch!! Part niche history, part personal ramblings and observations, you never know what is going to happen next. A really lovely way to spend an hour and take a chance on a comedian. I’m rooting for her!

A smart, funny show that is part get-to-know Gabey and part history lesson. Very interesting and Gabey is a charming performer!

Love! I laughed a bunch and learned a lot about American history (which, as an American, I realized I should know much more about what's happening over there in Seattle and Canada).

Great callbacks, lines and moments. Check her out!

Great show, with a core of just flat out great jokes and stories, filled out with storytelling that isn't really like any other stand up show I've seen. There are jokes in here that I'll be playing back in my head for ages - and the pig war stuff is genuinely fascinating. You're missing out on something pretty special if you don't see this show.
