Description

Chantelle Duprée always dreamed of becoming a star! From her "humble" upbringing in an American mid-western town, she decides to travel across the pond to perform a one-woman show at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe in search of fame and fortune. Will she get her big break? Or will she discover some uncomfortable truths? Fringe! The Musical tackles the deep relationship between an artist's ego and their art. Crammed full of catchy tunes, witty humour, and larger-than-life characters. #LiveTheDream

Having seen potty the plant (which is also on on Monday) last year when I was recommended this I just had to go see it!!! And it lived up to all expectations.
Added bonus they are in the same venue right after each other and same room too!!! So if the weather isn't great then do both!!!

Absolutely fabulous!! A truly wonderful show and definitely something to remember. Great acting and loved every single song! Can't believe what an amazing show we watched for little money. Absolutely gutted that we needed to catch a train and couldn't watch Potty Plant. Hopefully next year. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

When the show first started we thought we had headed to the wrong venue but then it all became clear and this fun musical began. The cast are absolutely fantastic in this show, they have great energy and facial expressions and deliver excellent vocals, this also helps as this is one of the clearest shows we have been able to hear at The Fringe so credit also goes to the tech team who delivered exceptional sound and fantastic lighting also. This is a fabulous show with all round performance from the cast and tech and had we have been in Edinburgh longer we would have gone to see their second show The Potty Plant. Well done to you all, we loved it.

A brilliant show. Funny, sweet plot with loveable, well developed characters and great songs. Loved the choreo, my only criticisms are that I didn’t find the lyrics particularly unique, however with a bit of work I think this show could be incredible. My favourite song was the critics one, this was the main one that stuck in my head and would love to have this on Spotify. Unfortunately the tech issues (mic issues) were a bit off putting but this is no fault of the show, more likely a venue issue. Would love to see this again when it’s had a bit more work. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️.

Lively, fun and a good way to spend an hour. Wasn’t as strong as potty the plant the musical. Would highly recommend that one. These songs were a bit more basic and didn’t showcase the actors as well, certain lines didn’t hit and did feel more amateur. But still a good time. Would give 3/5 stars. Potty the plant the musical can have 4.7/5 stars, always room for improvement ;)

Loved this show! Knew nothing about this musical or the performers before we went, but so glad to take a punt on it, thought that it was wonderful. Lots of humour, really good performers, lots going on on stage, and catchy tunes. One of the highlights of our fringe. Give it a go! (NB there is another show called Fringe, which we didn't see, so please note that this review is for Fringe! The Musical at 12 noon at Gilded Balloon Patter House, Chambers Street)

Such a fantastic show - amazing voices, fabulous choreography, catchy tunes and comedy to boot! I really enjoyed all the details that were worked in and the wee 4th wall breaking moments. Definitely worth going to see - I was grinning the whole way through the show and we've been talking about it all day!

Definitely 5 stars! Very talented cast, great voices, but also the acting was well done. Impressive that you can bring a story to live with only a few props and not a lot of costumes. Loved it.

This was great fun! Such a good way of immersing yourself into the whacky ways of the Edinburgh Festival Fringe through song and dance. The story has a lot of heart to it, and some of the numbers might have you roller-skating back! Shout-out to Stephanie Cubello who was brilliant. 3 stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️

This was a 5 star show. Surprised only 1/4 full. Encourage everyone to see it. Good performances, story line reflecting the Fringe from an artist's perspective and nice music.
Energetic performances and very talented cast. Thank you!

Earworms galore, as expected from the team at Little Big Stack taking a stab and the absolute piss out of the Edinburgh Fringe.
