This was my favourite show this year! So crazy and so funny.
Somehow Freddie manages to be full on eccentric madness without it ever being embarrasing or 'too much'. Loved it.

I booked tickets thinking this was a magic show, this show WAS magical but not in the traditional sense. I don't want to put in spoilers, but I can say I had tears of laughter running down my face with the hilarity caused by the manic, chaotic energy that Freddie brought to the stage. It's a shame Freddie couldn't get more people squeezed into the yurt, but the intimacy and the kookiness of the venue matched the tone and theme of the show perfectly. I was still laughing with family days later thinking of some of some of the antics that The magic lady got up to. Thank you Freddie, for an amazing evening of fun! I'll definitely be looking out for your name in the Fringe next year!!

We knew we had to see Freddie Hayes after seeing her show Potatohead two years ago, because it's become our reference point for how funny a show can be. But did that mean we could only be disappointed by whatever The Magic Lady had in store for us?
Absolutely not, it turns out. As with Freddie's last show, I have no idea what we spent an hour watching, but we loved every second of it. Hilarious from start to finish. Would have given a standing ovation, but it felt dangerous in the setting of the yurt (which is oddly perfect for this show). Go see this—I promise you there's nothing else truly like it at the Fringe, or possibly anywhere.

Freddie is so brilliant. This show is a hilarious hour character comedy, she commits hard and it pays off so well. Prepare to laugh till it hurts at the kooky and powerful magic lady, incredible props and puppets and some surprise characters who are all so loveable. Absolute recommend

Magic Lady is the funniest show I've ever seen at the Edinburgh Fringe! Freddie Hayes is an absolute genius, bringing her outrageous character comedy to life with incredible skill. The show is brilliantly thought through and clever, yet it maintains a wonderfully light-hearted and chaotic energy that is pure Magic.

The is the funniest show I have seen at the Fringe. The Magic Lady and her hard done to rabbit had me entranced and laughing until long after I had left the yurt. This is a ‘must see’ show, go and see it.

SEE THIS SHOW! Honestly, The Magic Lady is THE (note the capital letters) funniest thing I've seen in a long, long time. Freddie Hayes had me in stitches from the moment the show started, taking me and the rest of the audience into the bizarre and absurd world of The Magic Lady. If you're feeling a bit jaded with comedy - or life - this is the show for you. If you don't laugh at The Magic Lady, someone better call an undertaker. You're dead.
