This show has something for everyone; expect cowboys, forgery, suburban Macbeth, and the return of beloved gangster duo Ronnie and Johnny. Where have the comedies sketch gone? The ones we enjoyed in the 90s?
Maybe it’s time for a comeback?
‘Four more short plays loosely based on the theme of crime’ is a theatre sketch show reminiscence of Hale and Pace.
Each sketch/play was witty, dry &
a little on the edge.
Offering the best of British Humour.

Absolutely loved this show, 4 sketches each as great as the last. Incredible set of actors and brilliantly written. Definitely recommend seeing this ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I saw this troupe last year, and I've been looking forward to seeing them again this year. Pipe is a skilled writer and director, having put together another varied (and loosely linked) set of scenes - they fit impressive depth and breadth into fifty minutes. Each of the cast members brings four very different characters to life wonderfully, giving them real voice and personality without losing any focus on the comedy. The third play (inspired by Macbeth) was a particular highlight, working on multiple levels - subtle jokes and implications weaved deftly in between a good set of gags. I wish the team every success, and I hope to see Low Bar Theatre at the 2025 Fringe!

I really can't fault anything in this production. 96 days ago

Varied, funny, brilliantly acted and well paced as a set of scenes. Ended on a high with the gangsters!

Four excellent sketches each with a different twist delivered by three really talented actors. Go and see them. You won’t regret it.

4 wonderful short stories performed by a very talented cast of 3! We enjoyed all the stories, which were well written, but if we had to choose our favourite, it would be the one with the lawyer ;-) 4/5 and recommended!

We met cast member outside the venue and it looked interesting. Very good cast with a great theme. Very funny especially the moustache.

After receiving a flyer for ‘Four More Short Plays’ on the Mile we decided to take a punt on this show. Four, independent short plays (correctly advertised as linked by the theme of crime!) were presented by the cast of three. Strong acting performances linked with good comic timing and ad-lib lines made for an enjoyable watch. The plays presented held good story lines and each being independent of the other was a refreshing take on the crime tale format.
One thing they taught us? Never trust a lawyer!
A thoroughly enjoyable show from start to finish, well done all involved! Oh, and the venue has aircon!

Four really entertaining short plays, all very different from the next. The actors give the show fantastic energy, playing very different characters in each play. All plays are really funny, laugh out loud. I highly recommend going to see this show. It is fast paced and fun.

Hilarious, talented and gosh darn beautiful. A brilliant, comedic host of shows all cleverly linked by crime. After watching the show last year, I had high hopes, and I was not disappointed! Charles Pipe has done it again, with an amazingly well acted cast expertly performing his very funny plays! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
