Description

Two couples move into a flat together. Ava and Stefan have been together for years: steady, standard, static. Billie and Freddie on the other hand are still shagging. Ava and Billie have been best frenemies forever, one another's ride or die… until Billie actually does, along with Stefan. Now, chalk and cheese Ava and Freddie are stuck with each other, figuring out how to navigate the rest of their tenancy… and lives. They ask the big questions: When should we unpack their things? What is an appropriate Deliveroo order? How soon is too soon to sleep together?

Finally!! A female/male two hander that isn’t the same thing we usually see, but instead a unique and fresh story about the human nature of grieving and the different ways we approach it and find comfort/irritation in others experiencing the same. The writing is gorgeously naturalistic and the plot is flawless and well thought out.
I would love to see this again with the sound scape at the beginning being much louder and perhaps replacing the front door exits/entrances with blackouts instead so we, the audience, are never taken out of the realistic and raw performances we are witnessing the actors do on stage.

Bravooooooo

Deliciously raw approach to exploring grief and our mechanisms of coping with it. The script is SO beautiful and naturalistic, the acting goes hand in hand with the writing - so much chemistry and connection, you’ll forget where you until the applause comes. Congratulations to all involved, you have a beautiful beautiful show. If you’re at fringe, GO SEE IT

I've been to see this a few times now - a fantastic performance with some of the best montage moments I've seen on a stage. The show is fluid and engaging with a story that leaves you wanting more. Can't recommend enough!

An interesting piece that treads the line between comedy and sincere drama. A thoughtful piece of theatre on how we deal with grief, particularly sudden grief. There are some great moments in this play and it can only get better!

Highly recommend this show. A dark story brought to life by two excellent actors. Clever and funny storytelling.
