Description
Slow death awaits shipwreck survivors on a drifting raft. Staged at the Fringe 2023, Al Carretta's adaptation of O'Neill's heavily studied but rarely produced classic one-act is now an independent feature film for 2024 and his 23rd since 2010. An intense, brooding character study the setting is transformed. The gentleman survives his ordeal at sea, but how and at what cost? Recuperating in a sanatorium in England, is his fantastical tale of circling sharks, rotting corpses and singing sailors a real tale of survival at all costs, or is the light of a dawning madness shining? Please note that while all media gallery content is provided by verified members of the event, the Edinburgh Festival Fringe Society does not review or approve this content before it is posted.
