Description

A cantor undergoing a crisis of faith runs into his high school music teacher who is intent on having a late life Bat Mitzvah in this sweet, melancholic comedy. Jason Schwartzman stars alongside Carol Kane as the unlikeliest of odd couples drawn together later in life. Beautifully shot and acted with offhand charm by a superb cast, this elegantly observed, often riotously funny film manages a delicate and moving balance between farce and love story. Cert: 15.
