Description
Edinburgh Youth Orchestra performs an exciting programme of orchestral music conducted by Musical Director, Sian Edwards, to celebrate its summer season. After an opening percussion fanfare, the concert continues with Brahms' Academic Festival Overture before soloist Ryan Corbett gives the first UK performance of the Mikhail Pletnev Tatar Rhapsody in the arrangement by the composer for accordion and orchestra. The second half is devoted to Shostakovich's Symphony No 5 in D minor. A varied and exciting programme for this vibrant young symphony orchestra. Please note that while all media gallery content is provided by verified members of the event, the Edinburgh Festival Fringe Society does not review or approve this content before it is posted.
