Description

'Absurdist sketch at its peak! …the smartest dumb comedy you'll ever see!' (Audience Review). In their latest revue, American sketch duo Disco Horses present an hour of absurd, high-concept, honest, and silly comedy. Watch as up-and-comers and Fringe first timers Joe and Eric bring you to a world of "what if", that includes a diaper-wearing cult, existentialist fart jokes, and just lightbulbs. 'If you have the chance to catch a show, then you must do everything in your power to make it happen!' (Audience Review).

My jaw ached from laughing after this show. Some of the best sketch comedy I’ve seen at the fringe, not only surprising and silly but incredibly consistent in quality through the entire show. If you’re at the fringe and want to see sketch comedy please see this show.

The Disco Horses' fast-paced rigamarolery elicited in me several unconscious body functions, all of which were in service of the noble absurdist Cause. Extremely smart and precise with great pacing, Joe and Eric both offer unique improv skills and idiosyncrasies with fluidity and ease. I would and probably will go watch it again, two days from this writing. I suggest you do too.

Joe and Eric’s brillant comedic timing, fully embodied physical comedy bits, and stupid funny writing will leave you wanting an encore. Finally, sketch comedy that is truly original and excellently performed. If you enjoy absurd humour, this is a laugh-out-loud cathartic experience not to be missed.

This is by far my favourite show at the fringe this year. Nothing has made me laugh so hard, and we were all crying with laughter in the front row the first time we watched it. It’s unique, strange, and incredibly funny. An all round hilarious script with wonderful loveable performers. We haven’t stopped talking about it since we first watched. Really well structured and I was pretty much laughing throughout the entire routine both times. It’s great absurdist humour at its peak. We just saw it for the second time after seeing it earlier at fringe, as we wanted to see it all over again, and it was just as funny as the time before. A completely underrated gem at fringe - which should get far more attention being as hilarious as it is. WE LOVE YOU DISCO COWBOYS

Unbelievably funny, definitely the best sketch comedy I’ve seen at the fringe this year. Expect to see these two in bigger venues in the future. 10/10

Very much enjoyed this. These silly boys commit to the bit and have a flair for a great performance. The hour flew by.

This dynamic duo had me howling with laughter from the very first sketch. The spontaneous chemistry between these two hilarious performers are top notch. “Cops that kick doors” should be a real segment on SNL. Here’s to dried lime wheels everywhere!

disco horses is so stupid that it's genius. it's the hardest that i've laughed in a long time--so much so that my stomach hurt from laughing so hard by the end. i would watch joe and eric watch paint dry they're so funny.

Great chemistry, great music, great humour - a really funny show which manages to bring surrealism into a brilliant mocking of American culture and stereotypes. So funny and so many surprises. Loved it

This show is irrelevantly entertaining! So funny and sharp. These two performers are an incredible team and they play off each other in the best possible way. Tons of laughs. Go be silly for an hour and see it! 5 stars. Right on the royal mile. Don’t miss it!

This show is the best comedy show I’ve seen in actual ages. I saw it in NYC and then again in Edinburgh. I tell everyone to come to this because it’s the kind of funny that restores your faith in sketch comedy, is one step ahead of you and really is silly and absurd. It’s the kind of show that funny people wish they created, but they didn’t, because Joe and Eric created it first. They don’t realise how clever it is because they’re just trying to have fun, but they accidentally made something that sounds like the inside of your brain when you are reading the news whilst listening to Charlie XCX whilst eating pudding (good). It’s so silly x

Regardless of whether you would usually opt for a sketch based show or not, it will appeal to anyone who enjoys offbeat comedy in general ... While the material is fresh and unique, there is an instant feeling of familiarity to Joe and Eric themselves, driven by their rapport with each other, and the audience.
