Description

Miriam works in finance in Singapore. Jade is settling into post-uni life while working in a London cafe. The sisters haven't spoken in two years. They are forced to pack up their childhood home side by side. As they sort through objects, from football trophies to pitch pipes to wigs to toy poodles, the play leaps through their childhood. Will they find a way to exist together in the present, whilst both accepting and freeing themselves from the past? Deadheads looks at the complexity and joy of loving someone while also allowing them to grow and change.

I found this short play absolutely captivating. It’s funny but also really heart-rending, even painful at times, but ultimately uplifting - all in an hour! I find it amazing how theatre, when it’s good, can do that to you. Sensitive, keenly-observed writing here and movingly brought to life by the young actors and director. Go and see it!

This is a really thought provoking, moving and beautifully acted play. The writing is wonderful producing numerous laughs, touching moments and plenty of nostalgia; especially if you have experienced clearing out your parents' home. Don't miss it!

Moving, funny and poignant gem of a play beautifully directed and performed. Best show I’ve seen on the fringe this year.

This production was phenomenal! Was taken really off guard by how charming but heartbreaking it was. Me and my mum shed a little tear at the end. So far best thing we’ve seen at the fringe. Everyone involved is extremely extremely talented. Do not miss this little fringe gem.
