Description

'David Series has his own voice, both in playing and composition. He is also an exponent of the dying art of improvisation. A lyrical player and composer' (Mike Walker, Impossible Gentleman/Steve Swallow). **** (Scotsman). 'Like a Blue Note session from an alternate Universe' (AllAboutJazz.com). After touring in 2023, this year David brings his quartet Hidden Waves to the Festival Fringe. Hidden Waves Quartet is comprised of Paul Harrison (keys, SNJO, Tommy Smith, Blue Rose Code), James Lindsay (bass, Braebach, 2014 Martyn Bennet Prize), Doug Hough (drums, Jim Mullen, Donny McCaslin) and David Series (guitar).
