He's wicked, he's sexy, he's clever.. and he shouldn't take his mask off. A show of darkly obnoxious magic with a hint of ginger dom. Just leave the mask on next time David.

Exceptional show combining slick magic (mostly of the mind-reading and mentalism variety) with charmingly nostalgic theming. David is an extremely gifted performer with an energetic, engaging stage presence. Laughs, thrills and fantastic tricks. Well worth seeking out. ****

I tagged along with some friends to see this and I guess it just wasn't for me. There wasn't really anything frightening about it unless I count the overly-loud speakers verging on the painful. The magic tricks were interesting but err more on the side of 'mind-reading' than spectacle, which can get a little samey by the end of the session. Trying to review this is very subjective - your mileage may vary greatly from mine. 3/5 stars.

This show is a must see! So many people say this and it's difficult to pick the best things out in a sea of good reviews, but this goes leagues above anything like it. David Alnwick is somehow an enthralling balance of both witty and charismatic, and hilariously insulting. 'Necromancer' flavours an already mesmerising show of mentalism and mind reading with a refreshing sense of darkness and comedy. This truly unique and captivating show is a true highlight of the Fringe and I'm already so excited to see what David has in store for next year. This show will have you laughing and wondering in equal measure, and will be one of the best hours of your Fringe.

This is a must-see magic show. It's fast paced and funny, but also spooky and strange with an unsettling edge. Don't worry, it won't give you nightmares, probably

Derren Brown has written about how cringey, magic can be and how it is more important to bypass that cringe factor before you even think about presenting magic. For me David Alnwick has done that better than anyone, including Brown. You won't be cringing you will be squirming as the fear / apprehension theme is laid on thick and the magic is really good. If you are a big Atmosfear fan don't expect a concrete link to that game, it's just an aesthetic veneer but it is done really well. I recommend you get there early and watch the VHS 80s kids games and horror adverts compilation that precedes the show.

We have watched David Alnwick at the fringe for nearly a decade, and he only gets better. Flawless, engaging, funny, unsettling. He never misses.

Best show I've seen so far. If "sweary Derren Brown" might be something you'd like, this show is for you. A brilliant blend of comedy, games, magic and necromancy. Highly recommend!

A bunch of the tricks are the same as his adult show last year with a slightly changed theme, but if you saw that you know you want to see him again.
