Description

Rising comedy talent and Tik Tok star Dom Hatton-Woods – national tour support for Daliso Chaponda – brings you his new work-in-progress show Daddy Issues. All his life, Dom has been painted as a privileged private school boy by everyone who has met him. Of course, they’re right to think that. What they don’t see is the man who set him on that course: his hard-drinking, fast-living dad. Dom is a hard-working and slick young comic who tours clubs across the country. You may have seen him opening for Daliso Chaponda, Jamal Maddix and Jeff Innocent, come along!

We stumbled upon a show called *Daddy Issues*, and with a name like that, how could you not be curious? It was my first day at the Fringe, and let me tell you, this show kicked things off with a bang—it had me laughing from start to finish.

I get a kick out of poking fun at my own family stories, and there's something ridiculously satisfying about laughing at serious stuff. Honestly, these days, it seems like half my friends are dealing with some sort of mommy or daddy issues! The blend of personal stories and dark comedy was spot-on. Despite being in a small room, it just made the whole experience feel cozier and more intimate. Dom's got this amazing energy—he knows how to work the audience and always keeps you on your toes with unexpected twists.
I'm definitely looking forward to seeing more of his shows and hearing more of his wild stories!

It was a great comedy and has us full on laughing throughout. Hilarious stories that arose from awkward situations. We enjoyed the interactions at the end with the audience, would definitely recommend the show!

Rushed over half of Edinburgh to turn up 10 minutes late and still our favourite show so far. Unpretentious, Front row, funny, a deep insight into the textbook definition of daddy issues, would recommend!
