We spent 5 wonderful days at The Fringe and can solidly say that The Crucible was our favorite performance of all. This is a brilliant and powerful telling of the classic play about the Salem witch trials of colonial Massachusetts. Jacob Gutierrez-Montoya’s staging, choreography and dramatization of the chilling story is brilliant. The dancers are also superb in their movements, intensity and expression. The music was equally arresting. Don’t miss it!!!!

Gripping choreography and soundtrack! I wasn't familiar with the original play but was still able to follow the plot. The dancers really brought their characters to life. Would recommend 100%

Amazing depiction via movement and sound. Have taught the play for years and considered the Day Lewis/Ryder version the best. I was wrong. These dancers convey the restrictions and sexual tensions of Puritan America beautifully. Breaking from tradition, this piece focuses on the angst of not just John Proctor, I only wish I could see this production again.

I was intrigued by the whole concept, but this show turned out to be one of the strongest pieces I have seen in years. The crucible is a key work of 20th century literature, and SCDT have brought it to life anew with a passion and energy that needs to be seen to be believed. The choreography is hugely imaginative and the chosen soundscapes perfect. The dancers produce quite something remarkable each night. Hugely emotional. I've been moved to tears each time I've seen it. I was stunned with the quality of this show. I've seen it three times already and I'm going again for another three!
It's the best thing at the fringe by a country mile!!
Don't miss this. It's so special.....
