Funny, clever and a layered script, my wife and I thoroughly enjoyed this farcical play! I’m wondering if Boris touched a nerve with some of the audience members, because we’re both surprised by the negative reviews below. Especially the one about the actors being ill prepared, what nonsense. Potentially Boris mentioning the show being sold out might have meant audience had free reign to write what they wanted, as it wouldn’t impact ticket sales.
Either way, great performance and would recommend a watch if it tours again!

Excellent! We saw Saturday’s show, the last of the run and it was the highlight of our day. Great premise and script, very assured performances, particularly the two female actors who drove the pace in many scenes. Would love to see it back next year.

The overall idea and script for this show was a good one but sadly some of the male members of the cast really overacted and the humorous effect for me was spoilt. The women were so much better at portraying the comedy. It is not a show that called for subtlety of course. Farce is a skilled show to pull off but the trick is to study the experts such as John Cleese. If the show was in a really big auditorium it may have worked to better effect but in such an intimate setting it was a bit like being batted with a big stick.

This was a good satirical show, and the cast all seemed to enjoy their roles. I felt they got the balance between reality and satire just right. Boris was so believable, even with the post-show photo-calls with splendid ad-lib.

Great show, fast paced and completely covered the topic of the performance. We really enjoyed this farce which obviously is going to be over the top - that's what farce is all about. A good first show for us in the Fringe. Well done guys!

I find the below reviews rather harsh, Edinburgh Fringe festival is a bit of fun for everyone, and that’s what the cast portrayed, some fun. I enjoyed the high energy from the cast, keep it up!

This was our first Fringe show of 2024 and we were so disappointed. The actors were ill prepared with a script which barely raised a titter in the audience. In fact, I would suggest it was disrespectful to the audience because of the actors’ lack of preparation and knowledge of lines and situations. The biggest surprise came at the end when ‘Boris Johnson’ proudly (arrogantly?) informed the audience that the show was sold out!

I agree with the other reviews. A good opportunity missed. Too over the top.

This show had great potential, but sadly it didn’t meet our expectations. It was too farcical.

I think the actors did the best they could with the script they had. For me, it was not successful political satire or farce. But, it was sold out!

Agree with the review below Andrew. This was awful, neither funny nor clever. Don't come to Edinburgh doing a dire Scottish accent, with a weak script. The sparse applause summed it up.

Thankfully for the producers of this show they say they are fully booked. Back in the day this would be considered a fair am-dram production but this is 2024! A weak & convoluted scrip with ludicrously over the top acting made this excruciating to watch.
