Description

Our circus is one big family. We know that all families are dysfunctional, but our circus is in trouble, and the controlling Ringmaster won’t listen to opposition. Safety measures have been failing, and performers have been falling. The one place where we can talk freely is the break room, and lately conversation is all about the broken spirit of the troupe, and breaking the back of this curse before someone breaks the lunatic Ringmaster’s neck. And getting it done before the safety inspector arrives. Something's gotta give… or else we’ll all have to go! Director: Jack Lee.

Great show. Very funny slap--stick humour, at times I could see myself in those situations. Amazing to be so close the the actors too. Loved it.

Absolutely fantastic. Jack Lee and Maddie Devine were GREAT. Maddie as a clown had me in stitches the entire show and Jack Lee's performance as the strongman and bearded lady was superb. The chemistry between the two was spot on. Special mention to the ringmaster who I don't know the name of also. His energy was MINT!

5/5, 5 STARS, 100% GOLDEN GLOBE, OSCAR WINNING PERFORMANCE.

This entertaining show was full of energy, fun characters and laughs to boot. I especially loved the Clown as she incorporated great physical theatre and great facial expressions and included British Sign Language.
The Ring Master, Bearded lady were full of zest, fun and stories to tell including wee quips.
The Russian Trapeze artist had her own tale to tell...
A plot with a twist, humour, laughs and a huge fun time all round.

If you’re looking for a fresh show with witty writing and good physical comedy, look no further. This is a fun show with a strong cast who bounce off each other well and keep doing the unexpected. Good laughs and good storytelling. Come and see Circus, break!

I was lucky enough to see Circus Break on my last day visiting Scotland. The show was entertaining, funny and had a twist of an ending. The entire cast shined but kudos to the clown who incorporated BSL into her part. You will the venue with a smile on your face!

This is a light, if slightly frantic, little comedy and it’s the kind of sideshow that belongs on the Fringe.
