Carolyn Castiglia is a master of traumedy (comedy about trauma). She has perfected the balance of centering difficult and important topics punctuated by moments of hilarity. I've been able to see her show multiple times: each time it gets better. You'll laugh, cringe, and relate. If you're a dark comedy fan- don't miss this!

CHUCK is my favorite kind of show. It’s dark but it’s also very funny. Why? Because Carolyn can’t help but to be funny. She has a spark that can’t be taught only witnessed. You will have to see the show to see what I mean but she takes you on a RIDE. The show provides wonderful storytelling with a big ol dash of humor, vulnerability and there’s even a small history lesson in there. Definitely check it out!!

Carolyn is a master storyteller. CHUCK rides that razor’s edge between comedy and tragedy perfectly. Her timing is impeccable, her content is bold, and her energy contagious. This is a SHOW, and there’s no way to leave the theater unchanged. A million stars. Go see it.

Carolyn unabashedly puts it all out there with a true story that’s horrifying, yet funny. It’s a great example of tragedy plus time equals comedy. I admired her ability to share her story and vulnerability in an honest way with humor and grace. While it’s about her, it’s also about the human condition. She also makes comedic connections that relate to current topical and historical themes with powerful and hilarious visuals. If you want to see a show that’s real, has depth, makes you laugh and is enlightening I recommend it.

Carolyn’s show is gripping and takes one through a range of emotions and thoughts that’s complex and full of surprises! I found Carolyn to be a master at weaving seamlessly humor with sobering facts about what people are forced to do when caught between a rock and a hard place. I truly enjoyed CHUCK as a unique show I had the privilege of seeing. Hope to get to see more of this brilliant comedian’s work in the future!

A very funny, dark comedy show about family trauma that made me laugh nonstop. The show’s vulnerability in unraveling Carolyn’s family secrets is admirable and I found it deeply moving.
