Description
Watch Chris Tavener battle his intrusive thoughts through the medium of witty, satirical songs. Will it work? Not likely... As heard on BBC 6 Music, Sky's Showcase TV and live at Glastonbury Festival. Tavener is a prolific performer, having played 2,000 gigs in the UK and Europe. His varied career has seen him sharing the stage with Super Hans of Peep Show and Spandau Ballet's Tony Hadley, while writing songs for the likes of national treasure Sir Ian McKellen. 'An elastic turn of phrase' (Steve Lamacq). 'He really creates an amazing atmosphere' (Mark Radcliffe). Please note that while all media gallery content is provided by verified members of the event, the Edinburgh Festival Fringe Society does not review or approve this content before it is posted. Chris is not faking cool. He IS cool. This show is an absolute delight. Chris’s charm is effervescent. His songs are witty. His banter is adorably half self-deprecating and half “egotistical.” What an easy breezy hour of music and comedy. Bravo to Chris!

We met Chris as he was handing out flyers for his show. We really enjoyed his original songs and comic timing. The audience participation element in the show is singing along as directed, which everyone did with gusto. Great fun - definitely recommend seeing if you can!
