Chris Read: The Back Line

Theatre (music, comedy)

Description

Songwriter and half of globe-trotting 'Harry and Chris' ***** (Sunday Post) has written songs for Disney and Netflix. This year he's debuting an original one-man-musical about the wild 20s of a jobbing musician. A breakneck, feel-good musical dramedy set in the underbelly of London’s music industry, where a young session musician playing for some of the biggest names in the world teeters on the brink of sanity while trying to balance success, love, addiction, pot noodles and staying true to his session musician community – the back line. 'Musical genius' (Russell Howard). 'Fantastic' (Evening Standard).
