Third year seeing Chris and it won’t be the last. Everytime I come Chris always shares a wonderful message with everyone, this year didn’t fail. Chris makes everyone laugh, smile throughout and never makes anyone feel silly when participating. Magic always makes me wonder how it’s done and leaves me in suspense. Chris is a genuine lovely person and down to earth! If you get the chance go and see his show :)

I had seen another show by Chris Cook and loved it so went to his opening night fringe show in Edinburgh. It really exceeded my expectations! Chris is a master of his craft. He leaves you laughing and feeling that there is good in this world

What can I say? This is a fantastic show. Filled with magic, comedy, misdirection, and... well that's what you expect out of a magic show, isn't it? But this show has a heart... and a soul. And if you let it, it will change your life. It changed mine. I know that sounds like an exaggeration, but Chris Cook did exactly that. Well, the magic notebook did, but that's what makes it magic, right? Do yourself a favor and see this show as soon as you can. I promise you won't regret it.

Seeing Chris Cook perform is an experience you’ll be telling people about again and again. His magic is top tier mind blowing stuff! You’ll be laughing the whole time while you sit in amazement wondering how he does it. What was a surprise with this particular show was the positive message he beautifully wrapped up in this perfect 1 hour performance. We were left with smiles on our faces and tears in our eyes. Well done, Chris.

Fringe at its finest! What a fantastic show! Beyond funny, blow your socks off magic, and a positive message to boot - this show really has it all.

Clever, funny, and very positive! Chris’ 2024 show is an absolute delight. A talented magician, his tricks continue to amaze - I just don’t know how he does it! And we loved the positive vibes and warmth he exudes. He ‘made it happen’ for us. So don’t miss out. See the show while you can.

Fringe at its best! Everything about Chris' show, from a great venue (atmospheric, bar upstairs and in the actual performance room), enthusiastic audience, and well honed tricks and repartee, added up to a fantastic start to our eve!

This show is really, really good. I see Chris every fringe and he's perfected the art of the one-hour storytelling magic show.

If you like this, Chris is also doing a very poorly advertized (secret?) show at Hot Toddy at 9:45pm every day but Wednesday. It's not listed anywhere online. I was an audience member last night. One of the best things I’ve seen in a while. It really captures the spirit of what the fringe used to be like 15 years ago.

So see this if you want to see a really polished hour of magic, but go see the other one if you want to look back in time and see an expert doing the kind of off-the-cuff highly tailored skill demonstration that the fringe was built on.

Cook’s habitual emphasis on guiding his audience toward self improvement is still very much present this year; regular fans will not be disappointed. For the perfect blend of seriousness and silliness The Art of Taking Part is the place to be.
