Description
Relive the golden age of Hollywood as our cinema pianist improvises a film score to Charlie Chaplin's best silent films including The Gold Rush (1925) – live! During the silent film era (1890-1930), cinemas employed a pianist who improvised music as the film was played. Tonight, award-winning pianist Matthew Shiel will bring Charlie Chaplin back to life from his piano. Grab your friends and family, time travel back to the birth of cinema and join us for an unforgettable evening filled with laughter and slapstick entertainment! This shoe is a real treat! Matthew is a brilliant award winning pianist and I can’t think of many better things to do than to sit in that beautiful church with a warm cup of tea and watch an old Charlie Chaplin film and listen to all that stunning live piano music while the rain is pouring down outside. Surly one of the best experiences the fringe has to offer. Do go.
